From the pint can, it pours a hazy amber color with a nice white head that slowly reduces slowly and leaves lots of lacing. In the nose, it is citrusy. The mouth gets a nice dose of citrus, with pineapple notes.

Canned on 11-30-20.

A - Hazy dark orange gold color with very thick, frothy white head. A thin layer gathers on top that is very creamy.

S - Faded but juicy tropical citrus aroma of pineapple, tangerine, and orange.

T - Faded tropical citrus hits up front with pineapple, tangerine, orange, and some grapefruit. Around mid-way through a wave of piney bitterness hits and continues well past the finish with just a touch of tangerine lingering in the background. The tangerine and and sweet grapefruit are the dominant citrus nuances.

M - Thick body with prickly carbonation and finishes dry on the back of the tongue.

O - For a three month old IPA, this held up surprisingly well!!

16oz can into an IPA glass. Review from notes.

Look: Pours a mostly-hazy-with-some-clarity orange/amber. An off-white head of fine bubbles leaves some equally fine lacing down the glass.
Smell: Pineapple, mango, papaya, orange, grapefruit, and tangerine with a sticky earthy pine note throughout.
Taste: Follows the nose, really great balance of juice and more traditional IPA notes. Juicy and dank/resiny at the same time.
Feel: Smooth medium+ body, good carbonation, tight bubbles.
Overall: Really great balance on this one, a wonderful fusion of new and old IPA flavors.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned February 15th 2019.

Amber body of light orange tangerine, with some clarity and a glowing brown. Nice gem like appearance with a controlled pour, making a slightly smaller but very manageable off white head, reaching just slightly over two fingers, and some light soapy retention.

Aroma is big and beautiful. Classic thick pineapple but with more dank edge. Hits with a big pine and earthy punch mixing it all in for a big sensing juicy bonanaza. Hop forward and rightly done, but leaving everything else behind. Minimal sweetness as well. Hop lovers feast and well placed.

Palate is a dank hop tropical bonanza. Thick riching malt light sweetness for just enough to take the edge of an explosive hop flavor. Large amounts of pineapple and this earthy flavorful pungency that hits like a great smokey wallop. Hop blasting earthy pineapple without the sickly sweetness, but still a full rich thick juicy to velvety rich body.

These Solace guys are really dialing in the IPAs nicely.
