02/18/26. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.

A: Hazy lemonade yellow with 1-2 finger white frothy head with good retention and solid lacing.

S: Aroma strong with green melon, pineapple, and grapefruit. Moderate fruity esters.

T: Flavor is a good reflection of the aroma with strong green melon, pineapple, guava, and white grapefruit. Moderate esters which are fruity. Low bitterness.

M: Feel is excellent for the style with medium body and good medium-full finish with touch of green grit on the end.

O: I enjoyed Solace/Ocelot Danger Zone IPA and I hope they have it in regular rotation.

S: Earthy and resinous hop aroma, orangey later on.
T: Resinous hops, earthy, hints of berry and citrus, assertive green bitterness on the back.
F: High carbonation, medium body, crisp feel.
O: Decent, perhaps a fresher can would be better.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned Jan 26th 2024.

Quite pale bodied, with a lemon yellow and even touching shaded pale green colors too. Nice noticeable carbonation even if somewhat opaque, and a real thick lather soap like head of four fingers. Doesn't come off thick, but has classic retention and staying power.

Real nice aroma. Hop angle hits at soft orange, but more of a vibrant zesty citrus oil, light sweetness of tangerine too. Some herbal grass kicking in around as well, with a good presence. Soft sensing sweet malt, but not too sweet gives a real nice balance.

Real nice palate. Light sensing, but actually quite full bodied on the palate. Rich tasting malt and hop with a neutral sugar sensation, and then giving to light touches of grass and sweet orange candy like tones. Comes off with a real grassy bitter tinge at first but gets a nice sweeter mellow sense on the finish. Gum drop like sensing, and almost orange candy menthol like.

This is a very nice IPA. It's not a big bold and obvious flavor, but has some real nice subtle qualities that make it memorable.

From the pint can, it pours a hazy orangey amber color with a nice thick white head that slowly reduces. The nose gets a dose of citrus - surprise! - with pineapple predominating. The mouth follows with a mouth cleansing citrusy brew that is easy to drink and enjoy.

16 oz can, a few weeks old

Hops: Strata, Citra

Collab with Ocelot, this one is mostly a NE style IPA but not full-on haziness. That's fine by me. This is a delicious offering, and much better than Solace's flagship IPAs, if we're being honest.
