frozen cherries yet still significant cherry aroma. booziness big in this one. tad of oak in bright tank. medium yellow body, which is somewhat surprising.

Slightly hazy red-tinged golden colour. Poured into a tulip glass it gives lots of head. Bready, wheat smell with underlying cherries. Spicy. The wheaty yeast flavour comes through initially to be followed by the cherry sweetness. Semi-dry finish. Overall I think this hits all the right buttons for fans of saisons. Definitely worth checking out.

Appearance: Fairly clear gold/bronze color that seems to have a red tinge of sorts. I wouldn't call it orange though, it seems a bit unique. Sadly, not even a half finger of head was produced so obviously lacing and retention were non-exsistant. The body seems to have a decent amount of carbonation though.

Smell: Wheat and caramel malt with a solid backing of cherries and a touch of oak. Warming improved this offering significantly and it's got a decent amount of punch to it.

Taste: Mild caramel and wheat malt with a slight floral tone gives way to mild cherry sweetness with a hint of grapefruit in the background before a earthy saison hop dusting finishes things off without overstaying it's welcome.

Mouthfeel: The end note is a touch too aggressive on this one but the fact the it seems to give way allowing a mild cherry and grapefruit touch of and aftertaste is pleasant. The carbonation helps out the entire beer but points do get deducted for the complete lack of head here.

Drinkability: Refreshing and on the lighter end of medium bodied that is quite easy to drink. Easy on the system despite a slightly higher ABV. I really like that the cherry aspect never gets out of control but doesn't get lost in the background.

Final Thoughts: I'm a bit concerned that this one might have sat in the fridge a bit too long, as I seem to recall I enjoyed it a bit more at the brewery. That said, it is a very nice saison with a different cherry spin to it. Thumbs up.
