Poured a 473ml can into a pilsner glass. Three fingers of fine white head on a clear yellow. The head diminished to a layer that sticks around to the end. Some patchy lacing.

Sweet malts in the nose. Tastes of sweet malts up front. Grainy. A spicy hop finish.

Medium/light body with good carbonation. Overall a fine German Pilsner.True to the style.

On tap at The Aberdeen Tavern in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.

This one pours a clear golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells biscuity, honey-like, and grassy hops.

This has an intriguing and pleasant sweetness to it, a bit more than I expect for a pilsner, but I honestly do not hate it. It’s honey-ish and biscuity, with a nice grassy and floral hop character on the finish.

This is light bodied, crisp, and very clean. It’s got a very nice drinkability.

I think this was my first Fairweather beer! It was unique and very tasty.

473ml can served cold into a pint glass. Review from notes.

Appearance - faded gold in color, great clarity and a three quarter finger head that stays for medium duration. Plenty of visible bubbles.

Smell - Plenty of grainy notes, with good potency.

Taste - Bready malts, a touch of grassy and reasonably well hopped. A little more bitter than most, but that adds a nice crispness.

Mouthfeel - Very crisp, moderate carbonation, semi-dry finish. Easy to drink.

Overall - A very solid German style pilsner. Nothing not to like here. The crispness and well hopped nature of this brew are very well done.

From notes from up north

Appearance: Half finger of head at pour, golden body with slow and steady carbonation, retained well enough but did not produce any lace.

Smell: Smells like sunshine as sunflower, slightly toasted barley malt with good potency that warming helped out slightly.

Taste: Barley malt with mild mixed citrus that turns to sunflower oil and floral notes that builds with a mixed floral and bitter herb hop slightly longer then a snap.

Mouthfeel: Crispy and clean with a sunny aftertaste that has a slight bitter note, oddly reminiscent of Jägermeister which is the only odd downer here. The carbonation is solid and helps out the entire beer and the transitioning is great as well.

Drinkability: Pushing what I would call light bodied, but manages to squeeze in. Refreshing and settles down quite well and really just an all around great pilsner.

Dull gold body, clear, with a marshmallow white head, very good retention.
Aroma of fresh grain malt, lightly sweet, and mild spicy/floral hops. Clean and pure.
Taste shows the same malt notes as the nose, accompanied by distracting minerality, or at least that's the sense I get. Hop bitterness is low, not quite balancing the malts, there's a touch of residual sweetness. Medium-dry finish. The feel is lovely, with a fine frothiness, smooth. Medium carbonation, medium body.

A slightly above average pilsner, flavour leaves something to be desired.

500 mL Bottle. ABV 5.2%.
Appearance: Pale yellow, Clear, Over a finger of off-white frothy head, Excellent retention, Streaming carbonation, Lacing.
Aroma: Sweet bready malt, Spicy, Banana, Floral.
Mouthfeel: low-medium body, crisp, dry finish.
Flavour: Sweet bready malt, Spicy, Floral, Bitter finish.
Overall: I'm not an expert on German Pilsners by any means, but I enjoyed this and thought that it was a good example of the style. It is probably one of the better made beers by Fairweather.

From a 500ml bottle served very cold 38°F in a Pilsner Glass.

Pours a brilliantly clear light golden colour with a frothy white head with an ok retention and slight lacing on the glass.

One of the best Pilsners I've had from a craft brewery.
