Quick review here, the appearance was an opaque black that produced nearly no head that didn't stick around or retain. The smell wonderful, as root beer, nuts, vanilla and a backing of smokey, the only downside is there is a slight out of place lemon hint, which given it's a sour, deserves a pass. The problem though comes forward when you taste it. It starts the same as it smells, and then turns to sour lemon which just overpowers everything this could offer. The mouth feel is already, albeit with a bit of odd transitioning and yeah, there's no issues drinking it because the lemon washes away all promise this beer has. I would sincerely like to see this brewed as a regular porter instead of a sour one.

500 mL Bottle. ABV 5.6%.
Appearance: Dark brown/black, Under half a finger of fizzy cream head, No retention, Thin collar remains.
Aroma: Nutty, Lactose, Cherry, Lightly roasted malt, Tobacco, Vanilla.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, Thin, Slight pucker, Slightly syrupy, Low carbonation.
Flavour: Cherry, Nutty, Lactose, Tobacco, Lightly roasted malt, Medicinal, Slight Brio connection.
Overall: Yes, I suppose it's a sour porter, but should it be? Not getting the Root Beer (Sarsaparilla) that is mentioned in the profile.
