Crowler dated 7-9-17 split with my wife as the opening salvo on the evening.
The pour is darker orange juice, like a few drops of arterial blood might have been dripped into it. The nose is an odd combo of green apple & citrus.
Boat Shoes tastes odd, too. Heavy citrus & beyond that there’s a cornucopia of things that one might not want in a beer. Green apple, crushed mint leaves lead the charge along with a biting acidity, harsh orange rind, & clashing sweetness. Solventy. Hard to judge the mouthfeel, but half a crowler is far too much.
Harsh & unpleasant, I’m through about six ounces, & grabbing the white flag. The rest going to the drain. Bad beer.

Had in a 4 oz at the brewery. The beer was pale yellow but murky with a big white head. Aromas includefresh squeezed orange and maybe apricot. The taste involves very very orange juice flavors with a grapefruit aftertaste. The mouthfeel is a light carbonation which helps with its acidic qualities. Overall, excellent orange juice beer.
