Poured from a 750 ml crowler can into a Barrel Theory chalice. Filled on 12/6/17.
Appearance: Pours midnight black. Moderate amount of bubbles and a slight finger of tan head that settles into a thin creamy layer.
Smell: A rich and roasty dark malt driven aroma with a scent of chocolate and vanilla. Dark roasted malt with a scent of chocolate, coffee, toast,, biscuit, toffee, and caramel with yeast. Sweet scent of vanilla, milk, and syrup. A pretty good aroma.
Taste: Like it smells, a sweet and roasty dark malt driven taste with notes of chocolate and vanilla. Dark roasted malt with notes of chocolate, coffee, biscuit, toast, toffee, and caramel along with some yeast. Sweet taste of vanilla, milk, and syrup. A very good taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Creamy, slick, and pretty smooth.
Overall: A very good Imperial Milk/Sweet Stout. Big chocolate and vanilla flavor.

On tap. Black color. Light tan head.
Vanilla sweetness as it warms. Lots of cocoa and chocolate. Malty and sweet. Hershey’s chocolate syrup. Smooth and creamy.
This is a solid stout. It isn’t out of this world, but it’s a nice flavorful and easy drinking stout. The vanilla really helps.
