Poured from a 750 ml crowler can into a Barrel Theory chalice.
Appearance: Pours a very hazy golden orange. Moderate amount of bubbles and a solid finger of white head that settles into a thin patchy layer.
Smell: A very juicy and dank hop driven aroma with a scent of citrus and resin. Huge upfront scent of citrus hops with some orange peel, grapefruit, mango, papaya, and melon with some pineapple. Earthy hop scent of pine resin. Light malt hints of cracker and grains with yeast. A really good juicy aroma.
Taste: Like it smells, a very juicy and earthy hop dominated taste with big notes of citrus and resin. Big ripe upfront citrus taste of orange peel, grapefruit, papaya, mango, and melon along with pineapple. Some earthy hop notes of pine resin. Light background notes of grains and cracker along with yeast. A really good juicy taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Very juicy and pretty smooth.
Overall: Another great version of Rain Drops. A bit more piney than the previous DDH batches.

First time having a Barrel Theory beer. This was exceptional. Maybe not the best IPA I've ever had but right up there with the best. And certainly better than what I can get in Wisconsin.

On tap. Hazy golden sunset. White head.
Juicy, tropical, fresh. Orange and papaya. Floral and earthy compared to regular rain drops. Some resin. This is more of a cross between a regular ipa and a NE ipa. I dig it.
