Had on-tap at Barrel Theory in St Paul, MN
Appearance - Served in a 10oz tulip, hazy and dull orange in color with a mostly barren surface and a thin ring of suds around the edge of he glass. Good amount of lacing with broken sheeting and a few small spots.
Smell - The aroma is citrusy and slightly dank with a light bready undertone and very distant tropical character.
Taste - Follows the nose. Mostly a citrus character upfront and throughout with a bit of dank pine that turns slightly earthy in the finish. Aftertaste lingers with pith and earth.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with fair carbonation. Quickly turns dry and chalky in the finish. Not an easy drinker.
Overall - Is this supposed to be a hazy? If so it misses the mark completely. Even as a generic IPA it's not an especially great flavor profile, compounded by a very dry and chalky drinking experience. Meh.

Had in a 4 oz at the brewery. Murkier than normal rain drops with a thicker head too. The aromas were little bit earthier than Rain Drops with a stronger orange flavor. Much more acidic, orange juice flavors than Rain Drops and creamier too. Overall, denser and a little more acidic than normal Rain Drops.

On tap. White head. Lace. Hazy golden orange color.
A bit floral and earthy. The Nelson sauvin add that white wine grape flavor. A bit of fruit, but not like regular rain drops. Good, but probably my least favorite of the DDH versions.
