A huge thanks to Jeff for this one. Capped 750ml bottle into a Founders snifter.
Pours super dense. No head. Huge legs that stick around forever. Nose is bourbon barrels, coconut, maple, molasses, and chocolate. I also get layers of vanilla and sweet cream. Sweet, sugary, syrupy. Very aromatic. Beer opens maple, vanilla, sweet cream, and chocolate. More sweetness in the middle with some sweet soy sauce, brownie, and fudge. Chocolate, molasses and sugar at the finish. Solid but so sweet. Body is full with low carbonation. Slick, oily, and thick on the palate and goes down warm and sticky with a lingering finish.
Solid, but like so many of their stouts nowadays, way too sweet.
