A huge thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml waxed and capped bottle into Night Shift stemware.
Nice mocha colored head. Nose is chocolate, fudge, cinnamon and sweet bourbon. Aromatic but rather simple. Beer opens salted caramel, chocolate and molasses. Vanilla comes in the middle and smoothes out the flavors blended with more molasses, cinnamon, tobacco and espresso. Some heat in the back from the chilis right before the finish which is more chocolate and vanilla mixed with a mellow booziness. Delicious with some nice complexity. Body is thick and chewy with low carbonation. Rich and oily on the palate and goes down viscous with a dense, lingering, sticky aftertaste. Real big and bold.
An excellent, excellent imperial stout from Barrel Theory. Defnitely worth getting your hands on.

On tap. Little tan head. Black color.
Let this warm up a bit and it gets much better. Probably the thickest BT stout. The peppers show nicely and they didn’t skimp. Nice cinnamon to add to the spice. Vanilla sweetness with chocolate. Warming bourbon to round things out.
Full bodied. Smooth and spicy. The peppers continue to build the more you have. Awesome beer. Probably my favorite BT beer to date.
