A huge thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml capped bottle into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.

Nose is coconut, chocolate and coca cola. Solid but a touch muted. Beer opens huge coconut notes. Actually tastes like Mounds. Notes of coconut, cocoa powder, chocolate and fudge up front. Some cinnamon and more chocolate and molasses sweetness in the middle with a lactose richness. Vanilla and tootsie roll at the finish. Super sweet but the toasted coconut really shines through here. Body is full with low carbonation. Smooth and rich on the palate and goes down viscous, thick. Aftertaste is sweet, sticky and lingering. Exactly what I expect from this style.

Give me a coconut stout any day of the week. This is excellent.

Poured from bottle into Teku glass.
Appearance: Black with quickly dissipating tan head. A lot of carbonation fizz with the pour.
Aroma: Not picking up much here. Maybe some fig and dark chocolate.
Taste: Coconut and dark chocolate. Subtle cinnamon as it warms. No barrel presence other than the alcohol heat.
Mouthfeel: Medium viscosity. Slightly over carbonated.
Overall: Decent stout with coconut, cocoa and cinnamon. The cinnamon is not overpowering resulting in a nice blend of flavors. The lack of bourbon character and too much carbonation prevents this beer from reaching the heights of the hype. Nevertheless, a tasty beverage and thus far the best Barrel Theory barrel aged offering I've tried.

On tap. Tan head. Black color.

Thick and rich. Loving the coconut and cinnamon. Liquid mounds bar comes to mind, but then some. Chocolate, cocoa, fudge. The macadamia nuts show the least. Nice barrel flavor provides a warming touch.

Full bodied. Smooth feel. This is a winner.
