A big thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml crowler into Night Shift stemware. Shared with schen9303.
Nose is espresso, cocoa powder, chocolate and roasted malt. Solid but pretty mellow. Beer opens iced coffee, slightly tart coffee beans, espresso, roasted malt, fudge and molasses on the front. Cocoa powder, lactose, vanilla and cream at the back. Some leather throughout and a touch of cocoa powder on the finish. Delicious. Body is full with low carbonation. Slick and oily on the palate and viscous almost motor oil-like going down. Messy finish with a long, lingering, sticky aftertaste.
A really good beer. Imperial stout doesn't need a million and one ingredients in it to be fantastic and this offering from Barrel Theory demonstrates that.

Had on tap. Just tapped that day they said, lucky me! Fudge black with hershey kiss colored foam. Smell is straight marshmallow, coffee and chocolate, with some roast on the finish. Taste is so full of the marshmallow, which includes standing up to the potent coffee and various chocolates combo. Sneaky dry in the finish, full, and surprisingly not that sweet in the feel, well done. One of my favorites from the trip

On tap. Tan head. Black color.
Tons of marshmallow. Let it warm up and the sweetness comes out. Vanilla. Lightly roasted malts with a lot of coffee. Chocolate and cocoa powder.
Full bodied. Smooth. Thick feel. Really fun.
