Had this on tap & hoping it’s as good out of the 750ML bottle. If nothing else, I learned what a stroopwafel is. Split with my wife.
Black. Minimal head falls to a 90 year old man’s bare ring within a few minutes. Lots of caramel in the nose along with sweet (cookie? I’m very suggestible) & an encouraging amount of barrel.
100% That Witch is laden with stroopwafel. Or what I imagine it to be – heavy on the caramel, with a sweetness reminiscent of Christmas cookie, enfolded in warm, loving layer of bourbon & oak. Brief touch of cinnamon, chocolate. Nice & thick, but with almost no alcohol heat.
This brew has more barrel in it than all of BT’s other offerings put together – meaning I can actually taste it. An excellent offering.

On tap.
Tan head. Black color. Thick.
Big barrel flavors. Warming bourbon and a lot of oak. Vanilla with some cinnamon. I’m not sure if I’d be able to pick out the stroopwaffles. The caramel comes through though. Chocolate and light fudge. Thick bodied. It’s a really good BA stout, it’s just that the adjuncts didn’t show much.
