16oz can. Bottom date stamp is 'CANNED ON 02/28/24 WINDOW SHOP'.
Black colored body with a mahogany brown back lit edge. Mocha brown head disappears after a minute or so. No lacing.
Aroma of maple syrup, coffee, vanilla, and low doses of cinnamon.
Taste is first maple sweetness and roasted malts, with a mid stream addition of light vanilla, and later with the coffee and cinnamon. Aftertaste stays with a sweet tinted roast coffee with cinnamon spice.
Thicker mouthfeel. Nectar texture. Spicy and sweet balance well. Very quiet carbonation.
The enduring sweetness helps in hiding the high ABV%.

Tan head. Black color. Thick.
Liquid French toast. Maple syrup, vanilla, chocolate, fudge. Sweet, sticky, a little boozey.
Thick, rich, full bodied. Pastry like. 4 oz was enough for me, but I liked it.

A big thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml crowler into a Brooklyn Brewery snifter.
Fantastic looking beer. Pitch black, thick, rich with a luxurious looking 2 finger mocha head with excellent retention. Nose is brown sugar, maple syrup, molasses, roasted malt, chocolate, brownie, and lactose. Excellent. This is what I remember the original CBS to be. Beer opens chocolate, mint, cinnamon, and molasses. Brownie and maple syrup in the middle. Roasted malt and cocoa powder at the end with more cinnamon and chocolate at the finish with a slightly tart aftertaste from the malt and coffee. This is solid but a bit of a letdown following the incredible nose. Body is full with low carbonation. Smooth and rich on the palate and sticky going down. Long, lingering aftertaste.
The nose on this one is incredible but the flavor, although good, is a bit disappointing as a follow through. Still, very very solid and I'm glad to have had the opportunity.

Thick and black pour from a growler with about a finger a dense head.
Aroma of maple, sugar and vanilla. Taste follows but not overly sweet.
Pleasantly full mouthfeel.
