750 mL crowler starts foaming over immediately upon opening--not gushing, but requiring some emergency slurpage to avoid making a mess on the countertop. Possibly some secondary fermentation going on with the peanut flour or whatever product was used. Head sticks around a while, leaving some less attractive particulate splotches on the glass.
A burst of peanut butter cups on the nose, accompanied by some light booziness. Aromas become more subdued after it breathes, with more malted grains coming into play from the base stout. Baker's chocolate, kola nut and root beer botanicals emerge as it warms, lending some bitterness to contrast the sweeter ingredients. Faint suggestions of caramel.

A big thanks to Jeff for this one. 750ml crowler into a Brooklyn Brewery snifter. Shared with schen9303.
Pours with a big, bold chocolate head with great lace. Beer is dense and dark. Nose is lactose, chocolate, cocoa, and somewhat ashy peanut. Very aromatic. Beer opens chocolate, fudge, and mocha up front. Chewy peanut butter notes in the middle with loads more chocolate, fudge, molasses, and syrup. A touch of roast in the back end and some coca cola sweetness. Sticky rich chocolate aftertaste. Decent but this one is sweet sweet sweet! Body is full with low carbonation. Rich and syrupy on the palate and sticky going down with a warm aftertaste. Again, cloying and the body makes this one a meal.
This one's not bad but again, I may not be into the whole pastry stout crazy. Just too sweet and syrupy at the end of the day.
