Thanks for Jeff for this one. 500ml crowler into a BBT snifter.
Pours dense, dark, but with a huge, cascading mocha colored head. Spotty and stringy lace with thin, oily legs. Nose is chocolate, vanilla ice cream, and toasted coconut. Direct, simple, and very aromatic. Beer opens milk chocolate, fudge, molasses, and syrup. Plenty of lactose, vanilla, and toasted coconut in the middle. Some coca cola in the back. Finishes more chocolate and sweet coconut shavings. Body is medium to full with low carbonation. Viscous, smooth, and soft on the palate and goes down warm with a long, lingering aftertaste. The body is a touch thin but works really well here.
I'm a big fan of the first iteration of Black Lotus and this one's just as good. Definitely worth trying.

On tap. Black color. Tan head. Big coconut big chocolate. Light roast. Smooth. Thick, but not cloying. Full bodied, much bigger than the original black lotus. Very tasty.

Crowler can. No dating information found.
Black colored body, with a back lit mahogany brown edge. Makes a fizzy tan head, and maintains a busy surface. Leaves some residue behind on the glass.
Aroma is mostly dark roasted malts, with some chocolate, and a hint of cinnamon and coconut.
Taste reveals much more of a balance of flavors, and it's kind of sweet. Dark roasted malts mixed in with coconut and milk chocolate. Has a touch of cinnamon. All flavors trail off together in the aftertaste.
Medium plus mouth feel, with some creaminess. Supportive carbonation.
This is sweet enough to be a dessert beer, and a crowler can amount is a little much in one sitting. Good with chocolate cheese cake and Macadamia nuts.
