750ml crowler filled 5/3/23 into a 1L dimple stein.
L: Pours dark grapefruit juice color w a 1" pock-marked off white chalky head w VG retention down to thick skin, steady fine carbo bubbles, random sticky lacing.
S: Fruity. Pineapple, mango, citrus pith, fairly tropical, caramelized malts, cookie dough, quite floral, back ground berries, very gently catty.
T: Taste essentially follows aroma adding enhanced citrus zest, a splash of orange, grapefruit & zest esp in the lingering finish. Stone fruit, a touch of yeast. Well balanced sweetness/tart/bitterness, Enthusiastic citrus but not overbearing. Flavors are slightly broad/wide.
F: Brisk to end of entire glass with a gently lively mouth feel that is moderately juicy, medium length lightly drying finish.
O: Citrus zest oil brings the lovely bitterness to this lightly sweet American brew. Its lightly juicy mouthfeel adds to its palpable nature. Inviting and simple, elegant and handsome, masterfully brewed. It is outstanding in its style.
