A - Pale orange body, pretty well opaque, with just a touch of translucence around the edges. White head, fairly quick to fade to a thin cap, and extensive thin line lacing.
S - Soft notes of citrus juice, mango and pineapple funk, resin, and zest, with highlights of tropical sweetness and stone fruit.
T - Pungent, tart juicy open, with a middle that fills in with some malt sweetness and fuller citrus, pineapple and mango, with a mildly bitter finish that brings some pith accents and a slightly herbal aspect in the close.
M - Moderate weight, decent carbonation, and acidity that you can feel on the tongue as it lingers. The finish is clean, with just enough drying to invite another drink.
O - A well-built and quite satisfying double NEIPA, both quite drinkable and deep enough to offer something interesting to explore. Quite glad I got this one, and an excellent example of what Barrel Theory is doing.

16 oz can into a shaker pint glass.
L: SRM 6 Pours hazed dark butterscotch gold with a 1/2" slightly frothy white head, good retention, low visible carbonation, random patchy sticky lacing.
S: Herbal and industrial dank notes, sweet fruits, rich citrus, pineapple, guava, distant melon.
T: Fairly sweet tropical fruits, wheat, oats, caramelized malts, a hint of cantaloupe towards the end, melon rind in the lingering finish. Medium- full-flavored and robust but not overly so. It is not intense. There is a hint of alcohol.
F: Moderately smooth, soft & plush medium to medium-heavy bodied mouthfeel and a long slightly drying finish. It is very lightly sticky.
O: Another masterfully brewed American IPA from BT. They are one of my top 10 breweries in MN. This offering shines with rich fruit notes that are beautifully sweet, an easy drinking feel and body and a slightly bitter fruit finish. Excellent balance. It is outstanding in its style.

From a 16oz can dated 11/01/23. From the label: “Hazy Double Dry Hopped Double IPA w/ HBC 586, Citra T-90, & Nectaron Hops.” Delicious and a great illustration of an NEDIPA.
