Canned 3/8/24 (4 weeks ago)
Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy (80% clarity) medium golden color with a strong white head. SRM of 9-10. (3.75)
Aroma: Stronger aromas of orange, pineapple, tropical, resinous melon, apricot. Resinous and dank pine.
Flavor: Flavors of orange citrus, lemon citrus, some hint of pineapple and melon. Finishes with a sweet, pine and juicy finish. Minimal bitterness.
Feel: Medium body, strong, carbonation, finishes, juicy with minimal bitterness.
Compared to Stone Ruination 4/2024: Pours hazier, similar head. Milder aromas and flavor. More juicy lemon and orange. Less bitter pine. Winner: Stone
Overall: Promising hop combination and flavor, but that's about it. Lacking any of the WC piney bitterness you'd expect. Another one of the hazy IPAs masquarading as a WCIPA that pepole are talking about. It's not terrible and does seem to improve in the bitterness as it warms. Still, it's not easy to make a good WCIPA folks. I'm giving it more credit as it warms.
