Can. Dark brown black color. Tan head with lace.
Really solid black ipa. Lots of chocolate and roast to go with the resin, grapefruit, and floral hops. Malty but bitter and sticky. Some coffee and cocoa notes. Well executed.

In a can purchased at the brewery. Canned 6 weeks before opening. Poured into a large snifter.
Pours a deep brown, thick pillowy tan head with uneven bubbles that disappated relatively quickly.
Not a ton on the nose - some metallic or mineral smell. very faint charred wood.
Soft, smooth feel that fills up your mouth quickly but isn't super heavy. Medium body, some residual oily slickness (pleasant).
coffee and floral bitterness gives way to delicate herbal/pine and chocolate. slightly dry finish that leaves some residual bitterness but not aggressively resinous. Aftertaste is a great combination of biscuity and bitter citrus oil.
Great beer, would absolutely drink again. I'm ready for black IPAs to come back
