Near Chestnut in color; persistent thick collar, lots of foam... Earthy, leathery aromas; underlying hint of brown bread crust... Snappy bitterness; peppery with an accent of deep toasted caramel in the aftertaste; rich, almost dunkel maltiness with a long finish, seared off by the hopping; fruity highlights emerge halfway through... Round, luscious first contact, swiftly disappearing, finished with a silky, but ripping warmth... More akin to a bold Scottish 80/- or something? I like it. It's drawing from a few tasty sources. Well executed. Not for the kids. (2172)

On tap. Copper bronze color. White head with lace.
Grassy and floral hops. Spicy hops. Caramel, bready malts. Orange citrus. Toffee. Light bitterness. Fun offering from hoops!

Pours a toasty brown with a light tan, creamy head.
Nose is toffee, bread, slight spice.
Taste follows with toffee notes, dark bread, a touch of spice and a light bitterness.
Smooth.
Nice mild.
