Pours a hazy pale yellow with fine head.
Smell is juicy and grassy with notes of passionfruit, mango and peach.
Taste is juicy and crisp. Tropical notes of passionfruit, lime, pineapple and grass, with a soft bitterness.
Mouthfeel is medium, wel carbonated.
Overall,a soft, drinkable NE IPA, maybe lacking some power.

Murky bright yellow, thick white collar, and lacing. Subtle complexity is the hallmark of the nose: melon rind, lemon, peach, grapefruit, white grape, papaya and a kiss of hop bitters. Taste really does have all of those fruits, though grapefruit, lemon, melon and grape star more, get some kiwi and rhubarb in there too, hops are pretty mild but with all of those fruit you don't care. Feel is fruity and juicy with hops being a shot of pith, very bright and refreshing. Easy drinking, nice debut

Thanks to Mark for this one!
12oz can - dated 05/06/20 - poured into an Oxbow stemmed bulb at 38°F.
Pours a hazy, but not too hazy, but not clear white grapefruit yellow, topped with two fingers of foamy pure white head with good retention. Some nice lacing is left ad the head slowly recedes. No visible effervescence. Just a really pretty beer.
Nose: This is very nice. Very much in the same vein as the few Hill Farmstead IPAs I've had, and even some Tree House influence. The unmistakable aroma of Nelson emerges first, followed quickly by Citra, and pungent Galaxy. Thats gooseberry, kiwi, horned melon, white grape, fresh grass, orange juice, ripe mango, grapefruit zest, overripe peach, papaya, apricot, and allium dankness. There's also pine, some ripe strawberry, lime, guava, and some exotic perfumey and floral hop notes that definitely stand out. For an IPA, it's rather complex, quite inviting, and extremely fragrant.
Palate: Very much one of those double-take beers. Right up front, it hits you with a big, bold intensely ripe tropical fruit note, with a ton of mango, lychee, and gooseberry. There is a seriously dank note - not garlic, not quite onion, but it establishes a slight savoury hint. Galaxy lends its signature overripe peach, papaya, and apricot note, then some green fruit rind Nelson notes, and some pithy citrus notes show up. There are several hops in here with their own very unique traits, and together, they create a very interesting flavour profile. There's even a bit of piquant white peppercorn in here. The pithy note grows, as do the more unripe notes of Nelson, while the Galaxy takes on that signature musty dry note. There's more going on, but it's very unfamiliar to me, and in having a hard time placing all the flavours. This shifts into the finish where the bitterness that shows up is decidedly Galaxy in nature. The malt, which started out on the sweeter side, quickly dries out, and then some more puffiness comes in. The finish itself is pithy, with earthy Galaxy, and is fairly drying. The medium-moderate bitterness gently lingers before fading, leaving the essence of fruit peels. The aftertaste suddenly pays homage to Pliny.
Mouthfeel/Body: The beer is approaching full-bodied, but isn't super fluffy or turbid. There's a bit of more traditional malt in here, which lends a smoothness and some weight, but most of that is ABV. It's pretty crisp for 8.5% and only slightly slick, and not at all sticky. Effervescence is perfect. Not lacking at all.
Overall: This is a fantastic little DIPA. It isn't a West Coast IPA, nor is it a New England IPA. It means more East Coast, but there's some traditional malt in here, and a fair bit of boiled hops. Certainly unique, and it boasts a killer combination of some of the most unique hops there are. Everything about this is just fantastic. It's loud and boisterous, but remains balanced and drinkable for a big little beer. Very nice.
