A Belgium style peach brew poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy peach color with a small head of fizzy white foam. The head fades very fast, leaving a touch of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is very strong of a sweet fresh peach smell mixed with other light aromas of cracker malt and a bit of orange and apricot. Rounding out the smell is a little bit of hay and a touch of spice. Overall, the aroma is very peachy and inviting.
Taste – As one may anticipate form the nose, the taste begins with a nice, fairly sweet, peach and nectarine flavor that is backed by a little bit of cracker malt. At the same time there is some flavors of apricot and a touch of grain, both of which grow lighter as the taste advances. While the apricot and grain grow lighter, flavors of hay and a bit of coriander and clove spice take their place. All the while some very light grassy flavors and a touch of lemon come onto the scene, leaving one with a very peach heavy and moderately sweet, but balanced and refreshing taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is light and crisp with a higher carbonation level, both of which compliment the fruit and refreshing nature of the brew.
Overall – A rather nice Belgium Style peach brew. Refreshing, with an authentic and not overwhelming peach/nectarine sweetness.
