I had this beer on-tap in a half-liter glass mug at the brewery in Munich.
Appearance: pale amber hue with just a little haze and a thick head of frothy tan foam.
Smell: a light sweetness along with a slight caramel and toasty character. There’s a dash of fruitiness here too that really works for me. Despite its lightness this smells great.
Taste: very light and soft, with a bit of sweetness and a subtle but heady mix of toasty malt and that very slight fruitiness - that may just be the noble hops at work here. Very good indeed.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body but with a good carbonation and a nicely smooth creaminess.
Overall: hugely drinkable. It turns out they know their dark lager here in Munich.

Ordered a full liter at the brewery in Munich literally directly across the street from my hotel. Looks, smells, and tastes like a proper Dunkel. Good flavor and balance. Not too heavy. Drinks easy.
