I really like this beer. Full disclosure, my sniffer is shot, probably from Covid, or not, but I can't discern a lot of aroma for anything, so taste is all I have. I gave it a 4 for smell just because I can't fault the beer for my disabilities. Anyway. Beautiful pale ale with a malty palate and a citrus finish. The sumac has an earthy sweetness and floral citrus notes. I could drink this beer all day, every day and not get tired of it. I had it from a can canned on 8/14/24, and not from the brewery tap.

At first, what I thought was basil turned out to be freshly foraged sumac and rosemary. I start of by saying this because this isn't the stereotypical turnstile blonde. This one makes you pause, stop, and go slower; and, I was still getting an herbal aftertaste after I left the place. So, it's unique, and not for people who like a big floral or herbal presence. Other flavor notes were verbena, lemongrass, and tart chrysanthemum flower. I thought it could've used more bready sweetness. Hazy, dark gold colored, med-low body.
