A beer a day keeps the doctor away, perhaps, maybe at least this one. The reishi mushroom is purported to help fight fatigue while boosting the immune system. Let's see what it does to this beer.
Dark brown like the color of burnt wood. Some deep garnet highlights like one might find in wisping embers. A fairly short lived tan head that's superfine and clings to the rim. It has a mildly fruity kola nut and chocolaty-coffee overtone. An earthy lychee and large wafts of earthy tree bark on the end. Great med-full body, super silky, excellent carb. The mushroom is very muted in flavor only poking up with some victual bitterness. The profile is quite oat driven, rustic, red berries. More cocoa than coffee roast, but the mushies definitely murk the lighter fruit tones nicely.
