As the BA initially uploading this beer, here's some info from the can:
"The Fourth IPA in our backcountry series showcasing all New Zealand Hops: Motueka, Moutere, and Rakau."
A: Poured from the can into a Tree House tulip. Body is hazy dark yellow/golden with a half-finger of whitish head on top that settles quickly.
S: Good nose of tropical fruit, sweeter citrus, and stone fruit.
T: First impression: Interesting mix of bitter and sweet. Sweeter citrus fruit (ripe oranges) mixed with ripe peaches and a hint of under-ripe apricot. Finishes with a touch of bitterness (think limes), but after a couple sips, the sweetness takes over the palate.
M: A bit slick and thick - drinks more like a DIPA in feel than a "regular" IPA. Call it medium-to-full in body.
O: Solid stuff - pretty sure I've never had Moutere or Rakau hops before; not sure whether to credit them or the malt bill for the sweetness here (guessing the malt given the thickness to the body). I'd drink this again.
