Tried it today at the brewery.
Disappointing right from the pour.
A dark pale that a friend said looked like wine.
No frothy foamy head. None at all.
Barely any carbonation.
Zero Aroma, and I literally put my nose into the glass.
Taste was bland. Wholly uninspiring.
Not a good start. My first beer for my first time at this brewery.
My friend's hazy ipa-dont feed the bears-was fantastic. Their other pale - earn your keep- was only available in cans to go. Grabbed a 4 pk (based on BA reviews ) and glad I did. Outstanding! (I rated it a 4.67).
Dunno what happened with this Pale Ale...bad batch? Bad lines? I'm in no rush to return to this Thrush.

On tap at West Kill Brewing in West Kill, NY.
This one pours a light orange-amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like marijuana, grassy hops, flowers, cedar, and some light maltiness.
This is definitely an older school take on an American Pale Ale – like a slightly less successful Sierra Nevada Pale Ale. It’s pleasantly soft, with a citrusy and resinous hop character, and a strong but tasty maltiness.
This is light bodied, very drinkable, and very smooth and pleasantly bitter on the finish.
This is a nice throwback take on an early American pale ale – I really enjoyed it.
