This was my first attempt at Godspeed and, due to the association with Dieu du Ciel!, I couldn't help but have some expectations. Unfortunately, Mondainai disappointed a bit.
I love the fact that Godspeed went off the Ontario IPA chart, a chart that has almost all IPAs overlapping and tasting rather similar. The lowlight here is the sweet sticky honey scent nose and somewhat watery taste, along with the lager like colour. The low carbonation was also an eye opener. But it is well balanced between the piney and the fruity, with somewhat more emphasis on the former.
All in all, and without getting into too much detail, this was well received.
