Hagoromo 羽衣 (meaning “Wing Robe”) is our bright and uncompromising summer lagerbier, brewed the Munchner way. German noble hops and pilsner malt provide ample notes of freshly-baked bread loaf and grass. The finish is crisp and clean, thanks in part to a patient and extended cold maturation. This lagerbier was designed with the biergarten in mind.

12 ounce can. 4.9% ABV.
Pours a slightly cloudy golden yellow with a finger plus of bubbly, creamy white head.
Nose is grainy, floral with bready notes - a touch of honey. Hints of lemon.
Bready grainy sweetness on the palate - honey, honeysuckle, a bit of lemon with a bright herbal bitterness at the back - moderate minerality.
Light medium mouthfeel with brisk carbonation and a creamy finish - bitterness lingers.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from Small Batch Dispatch's 2024 Advent Calendar. My fifth beer from the Toronto, Ontario brewery, and second for 2025.

Glimmering gold body, chill haze, struggling to form a cloud white head, with average retention.
Aromas of grapefruit zest, coriander seed, clove, fresh barley.
Crisp, clean, with a fresh caramel malt notes balanced by mellow hop bitterness; there's a bright purity like a fresh mountain stream; finishes very dry, the malt and hops lingering in balance; minimal flavour imparted by the hops; medium body and carbonation, with a refined feel, velvety yet crisp. Completely avoids the sometimes cloying sweetness of many lagers.

A fantastic lager, would happily drink this all summer. Beautifully balanced, wonderfully pure.
