Body the colour of cloudy tangerine juice. Egg-white head is fine and forms well, but dissipates in about a minute to a thin layer.
Tropical and citrus hops on the nose, fresh, sweet, and juicy. Orange, clementine, golden pineapple. Lovely.
The taste follows the aroma's lead, with fresh, pure, sweet citrus that has a hint of tropical fruit. Sweet and juicy upfront, accompanied with caramel malt, before the bitterness of the hops makes it's presence felt in a strong but not aggressive way (at least, not as your palate adjusts over time). Those bitter resin flavours linger in the dry finish. Without looking for it, would I have sensed green tea? Not likely. Even watching for it, there was only a faint hint of it in the first few sips. Medium body and carbonation.
Thought it would be hard for green tea to stand up to a strong IPA, and my expectations were met. That said, it's a fine IPA in it's own right, if not living up to it's name.
