A-Jet black with a moka head that dissipates quickly but leaves a nice amount of lacing
S-Dark ripe cherries, fragrant raisins and pungent oak, reminiscent of an old single malt scotch
M-Mouthfeel is medium, as is the carbonation, it works but was hoping for fuller body and lower end carbonation
T-Tastes like a beautiful cherry soaked in bourbon, and plucked out of an old mason jar, crafted by some old wise man in a desolate Forrest in the Midwest...
O-Outstanding, and complex, like drinking a fine wine at its peak...

Black body, clear, with a billowing milk chocolate head that overflows and holds good retention.
Full aroma, malty and molasses, milk chocolate, vanilla, roasted marshmallow. Smells like a treat.
The flavour matches the aroma, harmoniously balanced by bitter roast notes and light alcohol warmth. Tastes like sitting at a campfire - has a light smokiness. Residual sweetness in the finish, but overall it's well attenuated, allowing for a medium body and a certain lightness despite the ABV, and avoids being cloying. Molasses, marshmallow, vanilla, cola, chocolate. The bitter roast lingers through the finish, helping keep it dry. Medium carbonation, fine and soft.

This is lovely. Complex malt flavours, well balanced, highly drinkable. A luxury without being decadent.

Can: Poured a black color ale with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing notes. Aroma of roasted malt notes with some bourbon and woody notes with light warming alcohol notes. Taste is a mix of roasted malt notes with some bourbon notes, woody notes with a slightly dry bitter finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Enjoyable and glad to be reminded of what barrel-aged beers can taste like without adding a ton of sugar or adjunct.
