12 ounce can from the brewery taproom in Toronto.
Pours a clear reddish brown with finger plus of tawny-khaki coloured creamy head.
Nose grainy malt, fresh bread, caramel notes, a touch spicy and earthy.
Taste of sweet bready malt - again that caramel-toffee note, with a very nice spicy and slightly earthy hop bitterness.
Solid light medium mouthfeel with bright carbonation - not sure I can explain it but did not want this pour to end - so easy drinking and simply flavourful and 4.4%....

355 ml can served cold into a chalice. LCBO purchase for $3.95 CDN. Canned December 22, 2021.

Appearance - Dark amber, brown in color with a half finger of loose tan head resting on top.

Smell - Dark bread, some nuttiness, earthy aromas and just a hint of spice.

Taste - Lots of malt, dark bread, some nuttiness and restrained bitterness. Quite delicious.

Mouthfeel - Smooth with appropriate carbonation, fairly light bodied and eminently crushable.

Overall - Really nice darker lager that is light flavorful, hits the hop cravings but isn't too extreme in anyway.

Bought a couple of cans from the LCBO in Toronto. 355ml at 4.4%.
Poured into glass with a 1 finger head with a brownish color leaving a lace as you drink it. Balanced Malt light hops with a hint of caramel.
Overall a tasty smooth beer light lager
Easy drinking.
Cheers

Pours a deep ruby brown that is very mildly opaque in my glass. Two inch, dense yet bubbly off white head that dissipates after a few minutes. As with many beers in this category, it looks gorgeous in the tall glass with long lines of bubbles running up the body.

Nice complexity in the nose, there are typical scents of an Amber beer but it’s more complex. Sweet malt and grains, maybe the unique scent is from being balanced out by the higher hop profile of this beer?

Sweet grains and bready notes balanced by some mild hop bitterness. This is complemented by a stout-esque bitterness of the roasted barley. There is a ‘deep’ flavour profile to this that I can’t explain, that’s just how it feels. Lots of cereal grains like a Pilsner, with a deeper caramel and spicey backing to the grainy flavours. The spice is more similar to something from a spiced winter beer, closer to nutmeg than the spice of a hoppy beer that is more citrus-y or black pepper-y.

Medium-light bodied with a very creamy mouthfeel. I don’t know if it was just my can, but the carbonation was less prickly and more smooth. It’s only one month out from canning, so unsure if that’s intentional from the brewery or not. It’s certainly enjoyable.

Can: Poured a clear brown color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of dry caramelized malt notes with some crisp cereal notes. Taste is also a nice mix of crisp cereal notes with some dry caramelized malt notes with light dry aftertaste. Body is average for style with good carbonation. Easy drinking and really brewed per style guidelines.
