Dull gold body, lightly hazy, with a pure white head, fine, forming thick and with good retention of several minutes.
Plenty of yeasty aroma, fruity and spiced, of clove, banana, umami; simple and comforting.
Flavour is bold fruity yeast, caramelized bananas, custard, hints of apple cider, with dashes of spice; balanced by warming alcohol heat in the finish and subtle hop bitterness, leaving it semi-dry, the spice and hops lingering along with notes of creme brulee; fine carbonation, medium and providing a refined feel, accompanied by the rounded and velvety body. Unctuous.
An excellent example of the classic Belgian brew by a modern North American brewery, confidently and deftly executed with respect for the classic style.

Can: Poured a clear golden color ale with a large pure white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal and corn notes with some light fusel ester is OK. Taste is amix of cereal notes with some corn and light fusel notes with some residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Again, I love the brewery but their Belgian style beers are not really that well balanced.
