This simple Pale Lager is an alchemy of old world Czech brewing philosophy, specialty selected Saaz hops, and Moravian floor malted pilsner. Forged in friendship, our collaboration represents a reinvention of our classic recipe with the help of Brewmaster Adam Brož and his prolific team at @budejovickybudvar. Our 2025 version might just take the cake...

Can: Poured a clear golden color lager with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh cereal notes with some fine dry Noble hops notes. Taste is also a mix of fresh cereal notes with some very faint residual sugar notes and some dry Noble hops also noticeable. Body is about average with good carbonation. Solid lager with great balance and great drinkability.

Pours a burnished gold almost bronze color. Slightly cloudy, but very effervescent. Three finger white sudsy head forms on the beer, lingers then settles in to a thin layer of velvety foam. Head continues to recede and dissipate, but never does so completely. Lots of lacing coats the glass as the beer is consumed. Aroma has notes of sweet bready malts, some light straw and a touch of honey. The saaz hops bring their distinct spiciness and aroma. Its lovely on the nose.
Taste follows the nose with notes of sweet bread, some dried straw, a kiss of honey, dried grass, some spicy noble hop notes, with a mild, pleasant bitterness on the finish. Although there is a slight hoppy bitterness on the finish it is primarily amalty sweet finish. Feel is light, crisp, and bright. Bright carbonation.
Overall this is a lovely Czech pale lager - I could drink this all day any day - and I can't think of a better compliment for this style of beer.

Pours a clear yellow with loads of foamy white head, excellent retention and good lacing. Aroma is heavy on grains, cracker and herbs. Smells and looks delicious.
Taste is similar to the nose. Grassy and herbal, with biscuit / cracker malts. Crisp, clean, light and refreshing. Excellent beer. Thanks, @coronaeus.

Pours a bright copper with moderate head that sticks around a short while before retiring to a thin film on the top of the beer.
The aroma is soda cracker, light floral and grassy hops. Pleasant.
Taste follows closely. Cracker, grass, floral notes, a light spicy finish. Very well balanced and enjoyable.
Light to medium bodied and eminently drinkable.
This is really a great lager. It feels like something one should stock one’s fridge with. I’m glad I bought a few

Buh is very good, this special edition is even better. Very crushable and something to drink again from time-to-time if I can find it.
