Body is hazy, dull, light brown/copper, like cider vinegar, capped by a sandy, frothy head that has limited retention.
Aroma has loads of ripe banana and spice yeast character, thick, along with some stewed apple, banana bread.
Taste is forward on the sweet malt and yeast notes, like a fresh sourdough loaf, with subtle fruitiness carrying through from the nose, more predominantly of baked apple; maybe the faintest hint of smoke; it's fairly sweet, a bit cloying on the finish, even with a touch of bittering hops in the finish.
Enjoyed the yeast character, but it's too sweet for my taste and really not getting the requisite smokiness, not that I was expecting much.
