A little known St. Louis brewery began making a Lager that translated to "from Budweis" back in 1876. Named after a certain Czech town famous for its own world renowned Pale Lager, a legal battle ensued for the right to use the name. Who's in the right? That much isn't clear, but Rýže (meaning: "rice") is our search for peace. Pairing floor-malted Moravian pilsner with rice in the mash, our unfiltered, double decocted, and naturally carbonated Pale Lager takes inspiration from rival breweries on both sides of the Atlantic.
