Strong earthy notes of finely ground Turkish coffee blend with cardamom spice and a hint of orange peel for a surprisingly sweet and bold flavor.

Had this when I was at Comrade brewery in Denver, June 2019.
Summary: Cardamom negatively impacts an otherwise good stout.
Pours the standard black stout color. 1/2" tan colored head. Good lookin' beer. Aroma falls apart, too much cardamom, not enough coffee. If there was a coffee stout category, the aroma would have to be below average, so I think I'm graciously giving it a 3 here.
The taste, like the smell, would be better without the cardamom. Are you tired of me saying I'm not down with cardamom? That shit sucks in beer, like, all the time. Take that out and this beer could be a 4 across the board. At least it doesn't dominate the mouth like it does the nose. The coffee and orange peel are a nice touch, but its like a real shitty movie with a real shitty star of the movie, but a solid job from a supporting actor. Carbonation was good for a creamy complex but bitter hint at balance. Beer does everything good but cardamom produces all negative results for this palate. So look, if you're a cardamom guy, check it out. If you don't like cardamom, this beer is good to reinforce that subjective taste.

On-tap at Stout Street Social, Denver, CO
A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a narrow collar of tan bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of coffee beans and cardamom are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has moderate to strong flavors of Turkish coffee, having flavors of espresso-like beans and cardamom.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: I really enjoyed this stout as it both smelled and tasted like a Turkish coffee.
Serving type: on-tap

L - Dark as night, with some vague brown transparency near the rim. Good lacing, good head. 7.5% in this example
S - Look, if you like Turkish coffee (the real stuff) and cardamom, this will be your ... what...Turkish delight?
T - A little more subdued than the aroma promises but it's all here. Delicious.
F - I have nothing to critique here about the feel or palate impression.
O - a great beer, well done, again not for everyone but for a coffee stout with some extra 'spice' (cardamom)?... hell yeah

L:. Pours a pitch black with a small creamy tan head and just a few specks of lacing on the glass.
S: The cardoman is very up front mixed with the orange peel, notes of coffee and a bit of chocolate. It has a very Oriental/ Chinese food aroma.
T:. The cardomon is first thing you taste and lends a bit of a astringent spice bitterness to the beer, there are notes of the orange peel and some earthy coffee. A taste that is a bit reminiscent of chow mein noodles.
F:. Body feels slightly thin for this style and I feel like the spice ruins the creamy feel a bit.
O:. This is an ok beer, but I feel like it is a bit overwpiced.

a super intensely flavored beer here, you have to want that, but once i settled into it, i liked this one quite a lot as well, along with the basil ipa this is one of the better beers they have happening in here. its got a ton of coffee, some cardamom, and a fragrant citrus element as well, acidic from the coffee to me in both nose and taste, but i kind of like that in strong espresso sometimes, and i dont mind it here. the cardamom is over the top, highly fragrant even perfumy in the middle, with notes of dried cherry and cinnamon and chocolate all around in here too, very complex. the cardamom goes great with the dark roasted grain and the intense coffee in here, no denying that, but the proportion seems strong, even for those who like it really bold, its a lot to take in, almost makes this seem more like food than drink. lemon and orange come in towards the end as the coffee turns bitter. rich dark chocolate gives a cool desserty vibe to it with the citrus later on, and it finishes long and smooth for what it is. a really neat combination of flavors in a well made base stout, with a very heavy handed coffee complexion thats pretty darn delicious. these guys deserve a little more credit than they are getting, these are some really unique beers!

Great international take on a stout. Creamy mouthfeel, chocolate and coffee notes, nice aroma, looks appealing in the glass, very enjoyable.
