Nilla Flowers in a Mixed Fermentation Ale dry-hopped with Cashmere and conditioned with on Vanilla. We’re loving the combination of hops & smooth vanilla.

No bottling date (released on 3/17/21, so presumably bottled within a few days of that date); consumed on 8/22/21
Pours a clear, bronzed golden body capped with a finger and a half of fluffy, slightly off-white foam; solid retention leaves a thin, creamy layer of cap, large, frothy collar, and the occasional splotching of opaque, webby lacing spattered around the walls of the glass.
Aroma features pure earthen pine needles meeting raw lacto-funk verging into lemon meringue territory; oaky edges see a mutation toward lemon furniture varnish over the middle as subtle, floral vanilla slowly integrates through the close.
Taste opens with a touch of barnyard and horse blanket sporting a dry, oaky edge; grapefruit and lacto funk proceed into lemon and subtle undertones of floral vanilla perfume as the dusty musk of antique armoire finishes into a gentle potpourri lingering through the swallow.
Mouthfeel brings a light body and a moderate, rounded spritz of carbonation dispersing a punchy zing of twangy tartness to complement a building acidity over the mid-palate; cut with a delicate, champagne-like tingle and an underlying hoppy grit on the back end, the finish is semi-wet with hints of low-lying zest.
A brightly acidic and quietly funky base is elevated with a well-attenuated dose of vanilla, melding a floral eccentricity to the predominant oak, lemon, and horsey qualities for a thoughtful, quaffable expression.
