In late April, production was slowed and life was uncertain. We had a lot of time and excess grain on our hands. We put a lot of this and that together to create our strongest beer to date, and one that we could let age until things opened up again. The resulting stout features a vastly complex grain bill along with three types of sugar (agave syrup, dextrose, and dark brown sugar). An initial burst of caramel taffy and creamy maple butter greets your nose, while milk chocolate notes lurk in the background. Deep roast and dark chocolate are present on the palate with a prickly spice, and subtle bitter orange finish from Simcoe hops. So dangerously smooth it's a sin.
