Taster at YL taproom. Amber pour, ring of off-white head. Grainy aroma, malty. Taste is mildly sweet, malty, bready. No corn, adjuncts apparent. Almost Vienna.

Poured into grip shaped goblet: color is amber, head is off white, presents as a thin top and dissipates quickly to ring, no lacing.
Smell is limited but some notes of caramel and toast present slowly as it warms.
Taste is similarly limited in toasted or caramelized malt character but there is some noble hop character with light herbal and grassy notes.
Mouthfeel has a carbonic bite but seems limited in carbonation (?), some light sweetness, then maybe some lingering hop bitterness.
Overall - this seems stuck between styles - I don't get much adjunct qualities you would expect from a lager of this style but I also don't get much malt character at all in the aroma or flavor; mouthfeel seems just a bit over crisp/bitting/slightly bitter for the intended style.

On tap at Next Door Bar and Grill in Pittsford, NY.
This one pours a slight hazy golden amber color, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
This smells kinda bready and caramelly, and not much else.
Like most Young Lion beers, this doesn't have much going on, and doesn't have much to recommend for it. It's lightly malty, and with mild hop flavor. It's just bland.
This is light bodied, fairly crisp, and pretty drinkable. This is the best aspect of the beer.
I don't know why I continue trying these beers.
