Presentation: 12 oz. brown bottle with no dates. Served in a Weizen glass.
Appearance: The thick, two and a half finger head goes away slowly settling into a thick foam layer that leaves some great lacing in big patches. It's a crystal clear gold color.
Smell: The scent is not that strong. Mainly wheat and cereal with the slightest hint of floral hops in the background.
Taste: Very mellow and pleasant with notes of cereal grain, honey, wheat and caramel. There's just the slightest hint of hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste to round things out.
Mouthfeel: Very smooth, refreshing and easy to drink but with just the right amount of body and carbonation.
Overall: A superbly well crafted wheat beer that showcases the basics of what the style's all about. In a time when everyone's trying to make the craziest brew possible, these simple beers packed full of natural, well known beer flavors, are a gem.
