Presentation: Draft, served in a snifter.
Appearance: The one finger, bone white head goes away fairly quickly and leaves behind some patchy lacing. It's a clear, dark, reddish brown color.
Smell: It's a rich and complex aroma of honey, cherries, figs, dates and malt.
Taste: It's very well balanced, with some dry, sweeter flavors of figs, caramel and malt up front; and even a faint wood note as well. It finishes with some cherry and plum towards the end.
Mouthfeel: It's smooth and quite creamy with a medium body and medium-low carbonation.
Overall: An awesome beer that seems to take on some characteristics from both Flanders reds and the Belgian brown with good results. Just very enjoyable all around and refreshing to see from a local Puerto Rican brewery.
