Presentation: 12 oz. brown bottle with no dates. Served in a Rastal Craft Master Grand.
Appearance: The thin, loose, bubbly head goes away almost immediately and leaves behind a minute amount of lacing in small spots. It's a pretty bad looking, murky, muddy, brownish tamarind color.
Smell: There's not much there. Just some faint, zesty tangerine peel.
Taste: It's a sharp, waxy citrus peel flavor and that's pretty much it. There's traces of fresh orange, grapefruit and maybe even pineapple but they're not that evident and they start to feel more like fruit soda after the beer warms up a bit.
Mouthfeel: It's medium bodied with a stronger than it needs to be high carbonation bite. That definitely contributes to the fruit soda character that pretty much defines this beer.
Overall: Probably an experiment gone wrong that unfortunately got released anyway. Ocean Lab is capable of much better than this. It's an okay beer at best.
