Just in time for the end of the hurricane harvest, the hop harvest in the Pacific Northwest is just heating up. It's a perfect time for Ocean Lab to create a hop harvest ale that features the unique Elani hops.
Bright, racy, fruity and flavorful, Hurricaned Harvest '24 first pours with a hazy golden-taupe blend while topping off with a creamy white froth. Bright with a citrusy and herbal perfume, the highly floral scent also includes tropical fruit, stone fruit and fine herb. Its sweetness is agave-like with hints of shortbread and cereal in a brief hazy malt foundation. But the rise of Elani brings the unique features of the choice hop with an exotic taste of pineapple, guava, lime, peach and orange followed by a bitter leaning finish of fresh pine, cedar, balsa, orange peel and hemp.
Medium bodied yet seeming fuller, the ale is a full flavored, more bitter than sweet, more dry than malty session that'll have you reaching for Elani hops all season long.
