Poured from 16oz crowler filled at the brewery into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: medium-light golden hue with a moderate haze and a finger of frothy, fizzy ivory foam, that subsided rather quickly.
Smell: malt is slightly sweet with a rather fruity, yeast-forward aroma. It's actually pretty good, reminds me of a "pre-prohibition style" lager.
Taste: a nice malt flavor without too much sweetness, with a little graininess at the finish. There's that bit of fruity yeastiness as well, although it's not as pronounced as in the aroma. Hops are light, but definitely present, and bitterness is relatively low. It's a pretty solid American lager!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess for the style.
Overall: this is a tasty and drinkable beer. Definitely a good summer beer; not exactly crisp, per se, but flavorful and refreshing.
