Kros Strain Dunkel Breakin' My Heart Munich Dunkel, 5% ABV. Pours black with a four-finger light-brown head that left commensurate lacing. Aroma is roast malt. Taste is toasty malt, slightly sweet, moderately bitter. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

16oz can. Poured out a dark, dark brown color with a small, khaki-colored head of foam. It left thin rings of lace. It smelled of coffee, chocolate, toffee and caramel. Great roasted coffee taste with maltiness, caramel and toffee.

Can from John’s. Nice palate cleanser after a dud. Plenty of head. Great biscuity flavor.

16oz can. Illegible date stamp on bottom lip of the can.
Ruby brown colored body. Two fingers of beige colored head. Leaves behind interlaced strings of lacing.
Aroma of toasted chocolate malt, a bit of smokey coffee, and a nutty smell.
Taste is at first a sweeter chocolate bread, and then gets more caramel with a touch of coffee. Slight dark fruit and nutty note. Comes close to a bitter close but severely stirs away from this, with more subdued sweetness in the aftertaste.
Medium mouth feel. Relatively smooth and clean finish, which means it's refreshing. No burn nor real bitterness. Very good carbonation.
Right in the wheel house of style notes, with rich flavors, and a finish that calls for another draw from the glass. Better than expected.

Poured from a pint can into a nonic.
Pours very dark but clear brown with an excellent head. Retention is modest, but the lacing is really good.
The aromas are excellent. Malty brown bread, hazelnut, and faint chocolate and coffee.
The brew is malty on the tip of the tongue (brown bread and hints of chocolate) and gradually transitions to earthy and modestly acrid notes at the finish. Just a bit of peppery finish. I'd be shocked if this one wasn't a decoction method brew, as it has great full flavor without being roasty or a malt or booze bomb.
Medium bodied with a fairly long but not cloying finish.
A really nice take on the style.
