A rich, fudgy imperial stout that was aged for 24 months in Knob Creek bourbon barrels. Slightly boozy with a caramel and vanilla hint.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Had 7/2/24.

Pours a dark brown, opaque, with a quarter inch quickly dissipating foamy head and a little tight foamy lacing. Aromas of bourbon, caramel, oak, roasted malt, chocolate as it warms, some fig and vanilla, some char, light brown sugar. Flavors of bourbon, caramel, roasted malt, some vanilla and oak, chocolate as it warms, light fig and brown sugar. Smooth, somewhat creamy, a very good full body, appropriately carbonated.

This is really good. Prominent and delicious barrels, solid aromas and flavors, and it’s a little thick, too. An all around big effort.
