We took a thick and fudgy stout, put it in a blend of barrels for 21 months and then transferred to another set of barrels for 8 more months. If dark, rich and double barreled weren't good enough, we added copious amounts of toasted coconut and vanilla beans to dial up the decadence.

Kros Strain 29mo Double Barrel Barreled Distortion Vanilla Coconut Imperial Pastry Stout, 13.6% ABV. Pours very thick and black, with a ring of dark-brown bubbles that left an oily sheen, but no lacing. Aroma is coconut, vanilla, bourbon, and chocolate. Taste follows, with coconut and chocolate stealing the show, quite sweet, slightly bitter, slight bourbon burn. Excellent thick and smooth mouthfeel, light carbonation, left sticky lips. Overall world-class. Wish I had bought a lot more of this one.
